A band on the arm that reads the composition of sweat continuously. Without a needle, without a blood draw. Body chemistry has until now been reachable only through blood or a laboratory: heart rate monitors and GPS show how hard the work is, but not what that work costs the body. Awareble reads the relevant values simultaneously and continuously, during the effort and in the hours that follow. For the first time it is visible what elite sport actually takes out of a body — while the effort is being made, and in the days that follow.

One athlete loses twice as much salt as another — left unreplaced, the bill arrives in the closing stages. Awareble reads the loss live.

A build-up is meant to peak on a single day. The trajectory of an athlete's own values shows whether the body is moving with the plan, or peaking too early.

What a heart rate monitor cannot see.

A chest strap, a smartwatch or an ECG measures the response. How hard the heart is working, how many metres were covered — all of them consequences of the effort, read off from the outside.

Awareble measures the substance itself: fluid, salt, fuel and waste products. Not the reaction to the effort, but what that effort costs. The two do not exclude each other; side by side the picture is complete.

Every measurement sharpens the picture of the athlete.

Because the measurement keeps repeating, an athlete is not assessed against an average from the literature but against their own baseline. A deviation from it means something before a general threshold is crossed, and before it becomes an injury or a missed match.

A signing is a body you do not know yet.

Building a picture of a new player has traditionally taken half a season of observation: how he responds to load, how quickly he recovers, where his limits sit, what he needs to arrive at a match fit. With continuous measurement that profile is there within a few weeks.

During the match the same values run live: how much fluid and salt is going out, when the physical limit comes into view, whether the bill is going to arrive in the last half hour. Afterwards, how the body actually settles — visible, instead of estimated.

Across a squad it means one programme stops being a compromise. What landed, and where tomorrow's session should sit, is answered per player rather than per group.

Where we stand

The core principle has been demonstrated. The measurement principle has been shown in the laboratory; validation in real sweat is under way. After that it is roughly a year to the first bands on the body. Partners who join early help shape what the product becomes.
